The APNU is a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness of the role of the UN in Francophone Belgium and holds the Belgian government accountable for its commitments within the framework of the UN. 

To enhance its impact on the Belgian public, the APNU collaborates not only with all the United Nations institutions represented in Brussels but also with a number of organizations that share its values, the most important of which are as follows:

• The VVN, Association for the United Nations
• The GRIP, the Research and Information Group on Peace and Security
• WBI, Wallonia-Brussels International
• The Egmont Institute – Royal Institute for International Relations
