The non-profit organization “Guides-Nature des Collines” invites you to discover nature, for we love and protect what we know. In the company of nature guides, you will learn to know, recognize, and protect the natural and architectural heritage of the Natural Park of the Pays des Collines (Ellezelles, Flobecq, Frasnes, Mont-de-l’Enclus, and three villages from the entity of Ath: Houtaing, Mainvault, Ostiches) and neighboring sites.
The association was founded in 1975 by Théo Mercenier and individuals who wished to share their passion and lead the initial battles for the defense of the natural heritage of the hills. This passion for nature and the commitment to defend our heritage remain our top priorities.
The non-profit also focuses on the architectural, cultural, and historical heritage of the region and is dedicated to promoting local products.
The non-profit Guides-Nature des Collines is one of the 29 associations that received accreditation in 2013 from the organizations for Education in Nature and Forests and for Raising Awareness of Walloon Natural Heritage (Accreditation No: 13/A014).
