Aware of our impact on the environment, we strive to minimize the carbon footprint of our activities as much as possible.

Gather

Mobilize

The strength of the Climate Coalition lies in its breadth and diversity. Indeed, bringing together more than 100 organizations, we mobilize civil society to promote climate action. We demand strong and just decisions in favor of the climate. In our view, the climate issue must be at the forefront of the public and political agenda. We aspire to influence political and economic leaders to take significant, equitable climate measures that align with scientific knowledge.

We support our members and partner organizations. We help them mobilize around their initiatives.

To address

Based on our scientific expertise and in a spirit of consensus, we draft opinions, analyzes, and recommendations. They assist various governments in strengthening their climate policies.

These documents are written by experts from member organizations, partner organizations, and through various external collaborations.

We engage critically and constructively with representatives and Belgian administrations to inform political decisions. Whether they are regional, federal, European, or international. These interactions are based on our memorandums detailing the views of the Climate Coalition.

During the annual climate summits (COP), the Climate Coalition coordinates the work of its member organizations to present a collective discourse and strong messages.

To inform

We inform the general public and policymakers of the need for a just, strong, social, and international climate action.

We highlight fair alternatives and opportunities for a national and international energy and climate transition.

Composition and financing

Our coalition is open to any organization or citizen group that is non-profit, shares our values, and wishes to commit to a better world.

Our funding is secured partly through an annual membership fee from our members, and partly through grants and donations.
